In President Trump’s first term, @DHSgov published the PUBLIC CHARGE rule which greatly expanded inadmissibility based on an immigrants “self-sufficiency.” BOTTOM LINE: If you were going to take government benefits, you couldn’t come in. President Biden overturned the rule. We must bring back PUBLIC CHARGE and ensure that non-citizens don’t receive government benefits.
