Went to my 5 year high school reunion last night and was in complete shock by the excitement people had for @getaxal One of my earliest friends from ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (who I lost touch with) had put in $500 after seeing an Instagram reel our engineers made. Apparently his girlfriend’s dad is a fan too (as you can imagine, I’m in total disbelief when I hear all this)! A guy who I took one biology class with in 10th grade had downloaded the app after seeing a LinkedIn post. Random people I remember walking by in the hallways (but like never speaking with) had heard of Axal! Cheesy to say but I can’t put into words how thankful I am - so much more to do but there’s support from every corner, even the places you’d least expect. The immediate needs: bank transfers, explanations of what stablecoins are (and why it’s not the rest of the sketchy crypto stuff they’ve heard of), insurance - all lower the barriers to entry significantly. Lessons: keep posting on different channels, work on better educational materials, and make the product flows so intuitive you can onboard your hometown.
