De Britse wetgeving heeft een concept nodig van een gebied van het burgerleven dat verboden is voor het Parlement. Dat betekent een Handvest van Rechten.

A ‘British Bill of Rights’ is a terrible idea. One of the primary issues we have is that we have been asking judges to make value judgments, that belong in the political arena, not legal judgments. This is structural and wide-ranging, for example our disaster of an energy policy is similarly afflicted.
It cannot be solved by ‘tighter’ drafting or ‘making it British’.
We should return to the British constitutional norm of pre-1997, asylum and immigration are political judgments, not legal judgements.
Power needs to return to Parliament.
