this was an interesting 18 hours on @footballdotfun football(.)fun is basically football manager with crypto, you buy shares of specific players and you sell them whenever you like. Packs similar to FIFA Packs were introduced where you could open a pack and receive 4 players, you can promote them to your squad or cut them and receive TP points in return. the main issue i have and i understand why it’s implemented but for the larger portfolio users, the fees take a heavy toll on the users sales. You are constrained to small sells (5+ sells on 1 player) just to minimise the fees spent. They take an exorbitant amount of fees from their users which is very off-putting, • 5% for any sell that result in a <10% price drop • 7% = >10% • 10% = >20% • 15% = >30% • 20% = >40% it’s a way of keeping the player price stable but results in the user taking the majority of the hit. i aimed for 5-7% sells although i was forced to do 10-20% sometimes. I lost thousands in potential profit for no reason due to the delays in sales, time-consuming small sales, servers constantly crashing/refreshing to see my holdings, etc. I’m not complaining about the profit made, not at all. Just detailing the issues that coincided with this trade, it’s still “early days” so ill be interested to see how things continue, i left a bit in my wallet to play around with but it’s not smooth enough for me to hold a lot on the platform and the fees are painful to say the least. good tech but could do with a lot of improvements.
