Very happy for @phantom to sign today's @fund_defi letter to the U.S. Senate to make sure DeFi is protected in the Senate’s market structure bill. Software developers that don’t custody or control user assets are fundamentally different from centralized, custodial crypto services and it’s important that the bill reflects that. Getting this distinction right is key to protecting financial innovation in the U.S. and ensuring people everywhere have the freedom to transact and manage their own funds. Huge thanks to the House for its work on this front and to the Senate for recognizing the unique and vital roles self-custody and DeFi play in crypto.
